Went to Xscape at Milton Keynes with me bird and some mates. Got myself a snowboard and bindings and boots so wanted to try them out. And was I impressed? Yes. 80% boarders at the centre but it wasn't that busy so there was a lot of space for going fast and trying jumps and tricks. Haven't done many jumps before but they had a 'kicker' there near the top of the slope which a lot of the boarders were going over so thought I'd give it a try. Found it quite easy to be honest, could land ok all the time but had some trouble on the run out a few times. Managed to do some 360s as well, not in the air but turnin, riding fakie then back round to regular again. Need to pacrtise this though and do it faster. Also tried wheelieing the board, with great difficulty and ended up in a big heap lol. There are some BIG jumps at Xscape but my balls werent anywhere near enough to attempt it. Some great speed ridiing though. Really enjoyed it and having your own kit kinda makes it better. Full marks for this. Hope to head back there soon as have booked Tignes for January for a week and two weeks in Whistler for March.
